The ongoing wildfires will have a lasting impact on our local housing market—particularly in terms of affordability and insurance costs. Buyers and renters should expect increased competition and higher prices, especially in the city and valley core. For new buyers, this is compounded by the challenge of obtaining homeowners insurance.
